What is a community Hub? Like a community centre, a hub is a space or location that brings together services and programs to meet the needs of the local community. These vary depending on location, needs and funding. They could include things such as fitness and recreation programming, event space, affordable daycare services, seniors programs.

Why do we need one? Ward 22 is Toronto’s only ward without a community hub, yet we have the highest percentage of tenants in the city who need more accessible, affordable services and programs for their families.

Where would a Midtown Hub be located? Potentially on a portion of the land where Davisville Public School is located.

Who would pay for it? The funds will need to be found and assembled through partnerships. These partners could include the city, the province, community, private and philanthropic organizations.
